New Zion Baptist Church is a small, historic congregation in Washington, D.C. with a mission far larger than our building.
New Zion has served Washington, D.C. since 1983 as a teaching-centered congregation called to equip believers through the clear, faithful explanation of God's Word. We are intentionally a small church with a large mission, and we've come to see that intimacy as a strength, not something to outgrow.
Our physical congregation gathers at 5400 Call Place SE, but our calling extends well beyond our walls. Through online worship, Bible study, and a growing library of teaching, we're becoming an accessible source of Christ-centered training for believers anywhere in the world.
So they may grow in Christ, walk in truth, preserve the hope of salvation, and help make disciples.
