Who We Are

A Community Rooted in Scripture

New Zion Baptist Church is a teaching-centered congregation in Washington, D.C., called to equip believers through the clear, faithful explanation of God's Word. We have been serving this community since 1983, and our calling has never wavered.

We believe that when Scripture is taught with clarity and depth, lives are transformed. Our ministry extends beyond our walls through online Bible study, sermon archives, and a growing digital presence.

“…to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”

Ephesians 4:12

The Lifeline

Someone Is Here

If you are carrying something too heavy to hold alone, you do not have to face it alone. Reach out. Someone will respond.

A man who had decided to end his life told himself that if he could find just one person who cared, he would not go through with it. Someone reached out. He is alive today, and now spends his life turning others away from the same edge.

Why the Lifeline exists

Your message is anonymous. Your name is optional. A real person reads every message and responds within 24 hours.
